Notice of State Administration of Taxation about Tax Exemption for Dutch Companies or Individuals that Win the Bid of Netherlands¡¯ Aid Project

To Beijing Municipal Office SAT and local taxation bureaus,
¡¡¡¡It¡¯s mentioned in the letter received from Ministry of Commerce on Dec 1, 2003 that Ministry of Commerce, on behalf of Chinese government, concluded Agreement of Feasible Technology and Demonstration Project Related to Environmental Infrastructures of Small Towns in Western China (hereinafter referred to as ¡°the Project¡±) with Dutch government, according to the agreement, Dutch government will provide free assistance in a bid to alleviate poverty and eliminate environmental pollution by developing economic and practical technologies and demonstrations for environmental infrastructures of small towns in Western China. The Office of Economic and Practical Technology and Demonstration Project is responsible for the Project, and the aid funds from Dutch government are under the overall planning and management of use. According to the provisions in Article 6 of the Project Agreement, the Dutch company that wins the bid will enjoy exemption of taxes on the salaries, pays and wages of Dutch personnel (including the Dutch company and individuals). Therefore, your bureau is requested to carry out verification, and exempt the taxes of the Dutch company and individuals won the bid of the Project, and issue vouchers for exemption of taxes on sale and payment of foreign exchange.
