In order to improve taxation services and get another channel of communication between tax authorities and taxpayers, the Municipal Local Taxation Bureau created free e-mailbox for taxpayers in May 2005. The e-mailbox can be used to send taxation bulletins and new tax policies, answer common tax-related questions, and ask for comments and suggestions and return feedbacks, becoming another way of communication following telephone and website. Till now, the Bureau has granted more than 500,000 free boxes to taxpayers, realizing point-to-point interactive communication with them.
