We have received your Request on Operating Tax Exemption for Parts of Insurances Provided by American International Assurance Co., Ltd., Beijing Branch (Jing Di Shui Ying (2004) No. 45), and the following is our reply:
According to the Notice of the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation on Operating Tax Exemption for Several Items (Cai Shui Zi (1994) No. 002) and the Notice of the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation Concerning Several Problems on Operating Tax Exemption for Life Insurance Business (Cai Shui (2001) No. 118), we agree upon examination to exempt American International Assurance Co., Ltd., Beijing Branch from the operating tax of the premium of the following life insurances that have a term of over one year and return principal and interest due.
